Purpose of Gharghanti Sahay Machine Scheme 2023
Under the Free Sewing Machine Scheme by the Government of Gujarat, laborers and poor women will be able to take care of themselves and their families well by getting free domestic help. One of the objectives of this scheme is to provide employment to women. Under this scheme, householders can start their own employment by getting help, from which they can earn good income. The benefit of this scheme will be given to economically weaker women and working women in both urban and rural areas of the state.
Due to the number of approved applications being much higher than the target for the financial year 2021-22, a computerized draw of approved applications has been done keeping in mind the fixed target limit. In view of the huge interest of the applicants, the Government decided to carry forward the applications which were not selected in the computerized draw to the next year (2023-23). But in order to get enough caste-wise applications against the target in the following districts, people of the concerned caste in those districts will be able to apply online, for which special care should be taken.
- Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Kheda, Narmada, Navsari, Panchmahal, Surat, Tapi for socially and educationally backward classes .
- Vicharati – Bharuch, Botad, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Kheda, Panchmahal, Patan, Sabarkantha, Surat for Vimukti caste
Eligibility for availing free household assistance scheme
The eligibility to avail the benefits of this Gharghanti Sahay Yojana is determined by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Gujarat State. Which is mentioned below.
- The age of women applying under this scheme should be between 16 years to 60 years.
- The family income of the applicant should be up to Rs.1,20,000/- for rural area and up to Rs.1,50,000/- for urban area. Income proof will have to be submitted to the Taluka Mamlatdar or the Chief Officer of the Municipal Corporation or the authorized officer of the Municipal Corporation in the metropolitan area. ,
- Only the country will be eligible financially under this scheme.
- Widows and disabled women can also be benefited by joining this scheme.
